ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 458 Win Mag. S# 3783. Bbl. 24". Hannibal bolt action rifle mfg. from a British P14 action by A-Square. Left side of the bbl. is marked "458 WIN MAG", with "A-SQUARE/ MADE IN USA" marked on the right. Top left side of the receiver retains traces of a "MODEL OF 1914" arsenal marking. Metal components exhibit a dull/matte gray finish overall, save for on the bolt body and extractor which are polished and jeweled in-the-white. 1-piece custom plain wood brown epoxy bedded pistol grip stock, features a small flare at the base of the pistol grip and a ventilated red rubber Pachmayr recoil pad. Toeline of stock and underside of forearm feature sling swivels which are fitted with an A-Square brown leather sling. Ramped brass beaded blade front sight with black anodized aluminum Williams wide "V" notch rear sight. Receiver is drilled and tapped with Redfield scope bases. Bbl. features a flat lug (stock inletted for lug). Receiver features an integral mag. well housing and a U.S. military proofed trigger. CONDITION: metal components retain virtually all of their A-Square applied finish, exhibiting a few light superficial handling marks, with spots/areas of mild to moderate pitting present beneath the finish on surplus parts/components. Brilliant mirror bore, retaining sharp and well defined rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Stock shows few superficial handling marks overall, with a check present through a knot on the right side of the butt to the rear of the of the pistol grip.
